ICIAD’S Mission and Objectives
To encourage and promote the professional and vocational practice, development and appreciation
of Interior Design, Interior Architecture and Art & Design in a global arena.
To advocate the adoption and use of Information and Communications Technology tools in the practice of Interior Design, Interior Architecture and Art & Design.
To upgrade to global recognition and international standing and qualify interior design professionals’ status quo through quality education and professional practice methods.
To provide professional upgrade facilities to designers through its proprietary teaching curriculum at ICIAD’S own Art & Design Academic Centers worldwide and the Council’s academic collaboration with other tertiary Art & Design colleges, institutions, polytechnics and universities globally.
To promote and encourage the development of indigenous ethnic art and design education in less privileged countries.

The Role of the Governing Board
- The Governing Board is responsible for the day-to-day operations of ICIAD, determination of the Council's policies and directions, all in keeping with the Council's constitution and guidelines
- Members of the Governing Board may also be appointed to, and serve in the Academic Board.
